Here are the Backup Instructions

If your PC crashes, or you get a new one, you will need
to install PhotoLibrary again. Follow these steps:

  • Copy the entire PhotoLibrary.msi to a CD.(This is the
file you downloaded, or you can download the file again
    when needed.)
  • Copy the file PhotoLibrary.exe from the directory where
you installed the full version of PhotoLibrary (typically,
this is C:\Program Files\PKZSoftware\PhotoLibrary) to the same CD.
  • Read the Help file directions on backing up your PhotoLibrary database. Backup often and keep a copy of the backup at a different location from your computer. That way if you PC is damaged, stolen, attacked by a virus, or the hard disk just crashes, you will always have a backup copy. If you are running Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, you MUST backup the database in:
    C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\PKZSoftware\PhotoLibrary

Here are the Restore Instructions

If you need to reinstall PhotoLibrary:

  • Insert the backup CD and double click PhotoLibrary.msi
    to install the demo.
  • Copy PhotoLibrary.exe from the CD to the directory
    where you just installed PhotoLibrary.
  • If you are running XP, copy your most recent backup database
to the directory where you installed PhotoLibrary.
  • If you are running Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, copy your most recent backup database to:
    C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\PKZSoftware\PhotoLibrary
  • Start PhotoLibrary. You will have all your data.

Just like your photographs, PhotoLibrary is copyrighted.
Making copies of this program and distributing it to
others, or disclosing the download links by any means is a
violation of U.S. and International copyrights laws.

Thanks again and let us know if you have any questions,
or suggestions for the next version of PhotoLibrary.
